Proud Parents

This more recent photo dates from 2000 and was shot in Bonaire one month after Kennen Hootman turned twelve. The occasion was also marked by Kennen receiving his Junior Open Water Diver certifications. Of course, like most dive instructor’s kids, Kennen began diving before this. It wasn’t until shortly after, however, that the dive industry made it possible for ten-year-olds to be certified.
