Suunto Introduces the D6 and D9Suunto’s new D6 and D9 are the world’s first dive computers to incorporate a digital compass. The compass shows the general direction with a graphical compass rose, as well as the exact bearing with a numerical display. Headings can be stored in the computers’ memory for later analysis. The compass can be used on land as well.
Additionally, by using the D9’s optional wireless transmitter, you can monitor tank pressure and air consumption data. The remaining tank pressure displays both numerically and graphically, and an estimation of the remaining air time is given throughout the dive. This allows you to monitor the remaining air supply at the same time as you monitor depth and time. Real time air consumption is also stored in the memory. Additional features include:
Even without the D9’s wireless option and three-gas capability, the two-gas D6 is a vastly more capable computer than the Stinger it replaces — and it costs roughly the same. The Suunto D6 and D9 are in stock now for immediate delivery.
