Socorro - Nautilus Explorer

The Revillagigedo Archipelago (of which Socorro is one island) is famous for very close, very intimate interaction with the friendliest giant mantas in the world. When the diving is hot at Socorro, the manta, shark and big fish sightings are incredible. You will definitely see silky, silver tip, galapagos and white tip reef sharks. You may also see solitary and schooling hammerheads. You will see dolphins topside (but it's up to the dolphins whether they will interact with you in the water). If you are lucky, may see tiger and dusky sharks as well.

You can always expect to see a myriad of colorful reef fish, jacks, barracuda and spotted trunk fish — as well as octopus, turtles and scorpionfish. This area boasted some of the best sport fishing in the world before it became a marine sanctuary; you may see bonitas, tuna, wahoo and even marlin at places like Roca Partida. Vast numbers of marine birds nest around the islands, giant sea turtles lay their eggs on sandy beaches and sea lions cruise through the islands on occasion.

The 116-foot Nautilus Explorer caters to more experienced divers on these trips and specializes in looking after photographers, rebreather divers, tech divers, etc. The vessel was custom built from the keel up as a very comfortable, safe and easy riding platform.
