We haven't met a diver yet that was not interested in learning how to be a better diver. What better way to do all that than becoming a PADI Master Scuba Diver! A Master Scuba Diver is the highest certification that any recreational diver can achieve. This rating recognizes divers who have accomplished the following:
- Earned their Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver certifications
- Achieved at least 5 PADI Specialty Diver ratings
- Logged at least 50 scuba dives
Here are 5 reasons why we think you should take the Master Scuba Diver Challenge!
Reason 1: Learn new cool things to do underwater!
In pursuing your Master Scuba Diver rating, you have to take at least 5 different specialty diver courses. This means learning lots of new and cool underwater skills that will be very useful in all of your future diving adventures like night diving, underwater photography, underwater navigation (ever wanted to know how to get yourself back to the boat??), deep diving, drift diving, etc!
Reason 2: Expand your Global Awareness!
Another requirement to a the Master Scuba Diver rating is becoming both Advanced and Rescue diver certified. In taking both of these courses (especially the Rescue course) you learn how to look beyond just the care of yourself underwater but about how to care about the environment around you and others you are diving with. This is called Global Awareness and it's a great skill to have, especially when you are diving in far off locations and with lots of other people.
Reason 3: Become an experienced diver!
The thrid main requirment is to have at least 50 logged dives. That's a lot of diving experience! And everyone knows that the more you do something, the more comfortable you feel and the better you get at it. This is always a plus!
Reason 4: Make friends and dive buddies!
Every class you take with us on your path to earning your Master Scuba Diver rating will be full of friendly people who love diving as much as you do. You will make plenty of new friends and meet folks to go diving with each time you enroll in a new course.

Reason 5: Count yourself among the Elite!
According to PADI, "the Master Scuba Diver rating places you in an elite group of respected divers who have earned this rating through both significant experience and scuba training. Fewer than two percent of divers ever achieve this rating. When you flash your Master Scuba Diver card, people know that you’ve spent time underwater in a variety of environments and had your share of dive adventures."
